THE CITY OF FLEMINGSBURG HAS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR AN OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR.
The successful applicant will provide a wide variety of complex office/ clerical duties necessary for the efficient operation of a municipal police department.
PAY GRADE 26 (salary range: $24,460.00- $36,670.00)
Minimum Qualifications
Training & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent supplemented by one-year related work experience. Associates Degree in a related field may substitute for the related work experience.
All applicants must be able to pass a background check and a drug test.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to: Provides general administrative/ clerical support service to enhance the operation of the police department; Uses computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail, and database software in performing work assignments; Effective communication, both in writing and verbally, with the general public, vendors, businesses, police personnel, other governmental departments and outside agencies; Develops and maintains all office support procedures; Maintains all records, reports, and files according to state law and departmental policy; Screening incoming complaints and determining proper action; including emergency and non-emergency calls; Maintains inventory of office equipment and supplies; purchases equipment and supplies as needed.

THIS IS A FULL TIME, BUT TEMPORARY, POSITION FUNDED THROUGH A USDOJ COPS GRANT FOR A TWENTY-FOUR (24) MONTH PERIOD.
