There was a special meeting of the Flemingsburg City Council Monday, June 27, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Annex. Council members present were Ricky Hurst, Isaac Sapp, Georgianna Sparks, Meredith Story, and Van Alexander. Councilman Manning was absent. Mayor Martin L. Voiers presided.
Councilman Sapp led the Pledge of Allegiance.
After a brief discussion, Councilman Story moved to authorize the mayor to purchase the property from the county for the new waste water treatment plant at their “as is” price of $80,000 contingent on written verification from the state showing no environmental issues with the soil tests. Councilman Sapp seconded the motion. Council voted as follows: Hurst-yes, Sapp-yes, Sparks-yes, Story-yes, and Alexander-yes. Motion carried.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
