There was a special meeting of the Flemingsburg City Council Monday, June 29, 2015 at 6:05 p.m. in the City Annex.  Council members present were Ricky Hurst, Kathy Moore, Scott Manning, Georgianna Sparks, Meredith Story, and Van Alexander.  Mayor Martin L. Voiers presided.

               Mayor Voiers led the Pledge of Allegiance.

               City Clerk/Treasurer Joy Roark presented the second reading of Ordinance No. 06-15-5 amending Budget Ordinance No. 06-14-2.  Councilman Hurst moved to approve.  Councilman Alexander seconded the motion.  A roll call was given with council voting as follows:  Hurst-yes, Moore-yes, Manning-yes, Sparks-yes, Story-yes, and Alexander-yes.  Motion carried.

               City Clerk/Treasurer Joy Roark presented the second reading of Ordinance No. 06-15-6 relating to electrical inspectors’ fees. Councilman Manning moved to approve.  Councilwoman Moore seconded the motion.  A roll call was given with council voting as follows:  Hurst-yes, Moore-yes, Manning-yes, Sparks-yes, Story-yes, and Alexander-yes.  Motion carried.

               City Clerk/Treasurer Joy Roark presented the second reading of Ordinance No. 06-15-7 amending Ordinance No. 6-00-1 regarding solid waste collection fees.  Councilman Hurst moved to approve.  Councilman Story seconded the motion.  A roll call was given with council voting as follows:  Hurst-yes, Moore-yes, Manning-yes, Sparks-yes, Story-yes, and Alexander-yes.  Motion carried.

               Resolution No. 15-6-2 was presented authorizing the mayor to apply for KOHS funds for an emergency siren.  Councilwoman Moore moved to adopt.  Councilwoman Sparks seconded the motion.  Council voted as follows:  Hurst-yes, Moore-yes, Manning-yes, Sparks-yes, Story-yes, and Alexander-yes.  Motion carried.

               The Procurement Standards for Homeland Security projects was presented.  Councilman Story moved to approve.  Councilman Manning seconded the motion.  Council voted as follows:  Hurst-yes, Moore-yes, Manning-yes, Sparks-yes, Story-yes, and Alexander-yes.  Motion carried.

               Councilwoman Moore moved to declare the 2005 Freightliner used for recycling as surplus property.  The vin# is 1FVACXDC95HU82201.  Councilwoman Sparks seconded the motion.  Council voted as follows:  Hurst-yes, Moore-yes, Manning-yes, Sparks-yes, Story-yes, and Alexander-yes.  Motion carried.

               There being no further business, Councilman Manning moved to adjourn.
